This week, we will learn about partitioning rectangles into equal rows and columns as well as partitioning circles into equal parts. Math 3.1: We will continue unit 2: The relationship between multiplication and division. This week, we will continue to work on finding missing factors and quotients. We will also work more on solving multiplication and division word problems. Our unit test will be April 2. A study guide/practice problems will be sent home at the end of this week. Social Studies: We will learn about economics. Our unit test is this Thursday. Reading: We are reading nonfiction books to grow our knowledge. We are focusing on finding the main idea and supporting details. We will also identify the main purpose of a text, including what the author wants to answer, explain, or describe.

Math 3.1: We will continue unit 2: The relationship between multiplication and division. This week, we will review division strategies (equal groups, repeated subtraction, related multiplication facts). We will also work on finding missing factors or quotients (example 6xn=48). Math homework is due on Friday. Social Studies: We will learn about the roles of the mayor, governor, and president. Reading: We are reading nonfiction books to grow our knowledge. We are focusing on finding the main idea and supporting details.
