Reading: We will continue our next unit, "Series Book Clubs." We are diving in to learn about characters by asking questions. What is the relationship like between the main character and _______? How does the main character interact with other characters? How do they respond to a problem? What do they do to resolve the problem? We started to read books acrosswithin the dame series.
Phonics: We are learning about ea making the short e sound. and long a sound. Examples: thread, ready, bread, meant, steady, meadow, pleasant, wealth, great, break, steak Red Words: enough, follow, group, important Language Arts: We will continue to learn about glossaries and dictionaries Writing: We will start our next unit on narrative writing. This week we will work on creating a setting and character to create a story. Math: 2.2 We will continue unit 6, Developing Multiplication. Students will continue to create arrays with repeated addition sentence to find the sum of equal addends. Math 3.1: We will continue unit 3, Patterns in Addition and Multiplication. We are solving two step word problems using the four operations. Social Studies: We will be starting an economics unit on saving and spending Reading: We will begin our next unit, "Series Book Clubs." We will be reading fiction books and discussing how characters respond to problems.

We will also begin solving two step word problems using any of the four operations. Science: We will review the life cycles of plants and animals. Our test will be Thursday April 22nd. . Reading: We are continuing to read nonfiction texts. We will compare two nonfiction texts on the same topic.
