Reading: We will dive deeper into character traits and how characters respond to major events in a story. We will also work on sequencing events in a story.
Phonics: We will review sneaky e. Examples: cube, tube, ride, hope, plate, blame, fine, crate, grade, flake, prize, mile, home, hope, smoke, smile. Language Arts: We will learn about irregular plural nouns (i.e. men, women, children, people, mice, teeth, geese, etc.) Writing: We will be working on writing our personal narrative small moment stories. Math: We are on unit 1. We have been learning about place value. This week we are going to learn about how to represent a number using standard from, word form expanded form, and place value. Social Studies: We are continuing our first unit in Social Studies. We will learn about the five regions of Georgia (Appalachian Platea, Valley and Ridge, Blue Ridge, Piedmont and the Coastal Plains). Reading: This week, we are learning about identifying the elements of a story (characters, setting, plot). We are also learning about character traits and how characters respond to events.

We will review the compass rose, identify the country, state, and city in which we live, and locate the three major rivers of Georgia (Flint, Chattahoochee, and the Savannah River.
