Reading: We are continuing to grow our knowledge by reading nonfiction texts. We are focusing on finding the main idea of the paragraph. Language Arts/Phonics: For phonics, we will work on multi-syllabic words. (tantrum, complex, trumpet, inflict, infest, plastic, pumpkin, contrast, abstract, etc). Our red words for this week: boy, once, said, know Writing: We will revise, edit, and publish our informational books. Social Studies: We will start Unit 2, Georgia's First People. This week, we are learning about the Cherokee Native Americans. Math: 2.1 We are continuing to work on Unit 2, Becoming Fluent with Addition and Subtraction; Word Problems.. We are working on word problems with money and reviewing double digit subtraction. Our test will be December 9th. 2.2: We took the unit 5 test and are starting unit 6, Developing Multiplication. 3.1 Unit 2 test, Relationship between multiplication and division Reading: We are continuing to grow our knowledge by reading nonfiction texts.
